OLD ENOUGH (1984)
I saw this film on TV one afternoon in during that great three month stretch that we had free movie channels.  Maybe not as radical as Times Square, or as influential as Pretty in Pink, but there is something sincere and true about this film.  Girls in NYC, what a concept.

Grand Canyons

The Grand Canyon was incredible - one's eye can not take it all in all at once.  I purchased a cloth map as a memento.

Ghost Ships

Taken on a foggy afternoon from Vancouver's Sea Wall.  The clouds met the horizon and were distinguishable only by the freighters that lie in wait in the harbour.

Looking towards downtown Los Angeles from Griffith Park, Hollywood.  

The Griffith Observatory is located in Griffith Park, Hollywood.  It has served as the location of many films, including the climatic stand-off scene in Rebel Without a Cause (Nicholas Ray, 1955).  

Palm trees of Sunset Boulevard - the cross of the Church of Scientology made it in at the bottom of the frame.

Looking up towards Griffith Observatory from a street off Sunset Blvd.  That night, Neil Diamond was playing to a seeming full house at the Greek Theatre.  Strains of "Shiloh" wafted up the hill.
